National
Institute of Mental Health/National Institutes of Health:
Multi-Language Collaborative Web Portal. The two-year
contract, from September 2004 to September 2006, is to build a
Multi-Language Web Portal to Support Collaboration and Knowledge
Management between NIH supported researchers and foreign collaborators.

The web portal will allow users to use:
a) Web conferencing to conduct meetings,
online seminars, mentoring sessions and e-Learning
b) Knowledge repository to archive and
share video/audio from web conferences, share text-based documents, and
conduct threaded discussions
c) Variety of other networking tools to
conduct collaborative research and training
INDENT is partnering
with Children’s Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School, University of
Alabama, Birmingham, University of California, Berkeley, University of
Rochester, Vanderbilt University and Washington University, St. Louis.
The foreign partners are Hacettepe University in Turkey, The Chinese
University of Hong Kong, Pigorov University in Ukraine, Charles
University in Czech Republic, National Institute of Pediatrics of
Vietnam, and National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in
India.
INDENT’s commercial
partners in this project are Diversified Therapy, Recruitmax and Taylor
Engineering of Jacksonville, FL, and Myer Internet Services of San Jose,
CA.
